Set up Slack or Discord

Create an incoming webhook

In Slack, create or choose an app with Incoming Webhooks enabled, then add a webhook to the channel that should receive Downbot alerts.

Copy the webhook URL

Treat the URL as a secret because anyone with it may be able to post to the channel.

Add it in Downbot

Open Team settings > Integrations, choose Slack, name the destination, and paste the URL.

Attach it to sites

Select the Slack destination in each site's Alert settings and choose its events.

Open channel settings

In Discord, choose the destination channel, then open Integrations > Webhooks.

Create and copy a webhook

Choose the channel and copy its webhook URL.

Add it in Downbot

Open Team settings > Integrations, choose Discord, name it, and paste the URL.

Attach it to sites

Select the Discord destination in each site's Alert settings.
