Downbot documentation
Set up reliable website monitoring, route actionable alerts, and work with your team.
What is Downbot?
Downbot checks your websites on a schedule, records response evidence, opens incidents after confirmed failures, and notifies the destinations you choose. Monitoring and alert routes belong to a team, so everyone works from the same operational view.
No agent to install
For standard website monitoring, Downbot sends HTTP requests to a public URL. You do not need to add a script or package to the monitored site.
Your first monitor
- 1
Sign in
Request a secure magic link with your email address and open it in the same browser.
- 2
Create your team
Choose a team name and URL slug. You become the team owner.
- 3
Add a site
Enter the public URL, a recognizable display name, check interval, timeout, and expected HTTP status.
- 4
Add an integration
Create a reusable notification destination in Team settings > Integrations.
- 5
Route alerts
Open the site detail page, edit Alert settings, select the integration, and choose which events it receives.
Ready
After the first check arrives, the site detail page shows current state, uptime, response time, recent checks, and incidents.
